Description: Introducing a breakthrough, integrative approach to managing your borderline personality disorder (BPD).
If you’ve been diagnosed with BPD you may feel a number of emotions—including shock, shame, sadness, abandonment, emptiness, or even anger. Even worse, you may be tempted to research your diagnosis online, only to find doomsday scenarios and terrible prognoses everywhere you click. Take a deep breath. You can get through this—and this workbook will help guide you.
Review: Personally, I am a huge fan of Dr Daniel Fox via his YouTube channel because I find his videos to be informative and free from the judgement which so many other channels based on BPD have. This book is more like a workbook than something you can simply sit back and read, you have to engage with it and interact with it that is what I would suggest getting the spiral-bound version of it so you can rip out the pages you want to as well as keeping a firm track on where you are in the book.
This book gives you the opportunity to self-reflect and self-help by taking you on the journey to recovery. I found he broke down each section nicely as you make progress through the book, filling in things as well as learning from your own answers as well as his. But this book might not be in the style of help many others with BPD are looking for and I get that. This book is for those trying to help themselves or even better when used by a therapist to help guide your client through each stage of it. While not as in-depth as many other BPD books I have read it does a good enough job to be well worth a purchase.
Overall Rating: 4/5 – Well worth a look, but do get the spiral-bound version rather than the normal paperback.
I would hope it’s very good, for 31 US dollars plus shipping. On the spiral bound copy anyway.
All I can say for sure is that its a lot cheaper than seeing a therapist who will talk you through much the same things at $40 per hour.
Good point. I can’t presently afford the spiral but I may throw down dough on the paperback. Thanks for posting.
